In addition to having the kind of silky smooth voice often associated with classic Celtic Singers, such as “Celtic Woman”, Celia excels at comedy. She often transforms right on stage into one or more of her alter-egos-whose antics typically leave the audience howling with laughter. With powerful, heart-felt vocals and wacky comedic improvisations, the audience never knows what will happen with Celia on stage.

Celia often uses sophisticated “looping” technology to perform duets, trios, and even larger ensembles with herself. Nothing is pre-recorded. She lays down a track then using the looping technology harmonizes with herself — all live and in real time. The result is an amazing listening experience for the audience.

Celia has opened for notable authors: Neale Donald Walsch, Marianne Williamson & Dr. Masaru Emoto, provided live music for the Off-Broadway production of “Rum & Vodka, & has received a “Best Storytelling CD” nomination for “Irish Tales” by the International Just Plain Folks Awards (The Grassroots of Grammies). Her “Symbol” song has been named the “Anthem for the Veteran Pentacle Quest” in support of Religious tolerance & acceptance.

Celia is from Wisconsin and calls the road her home She is currently recording her KARMA album and touring the nation. No matter how many times you think you’ve seen Celia, you can never predict what she will do and how deeply she can reach into the soul of an audience. Celia’s range of styles and entertainment is far more than a concert. It is more like a full Cabaret.

“Go out of your way to see her. You won’t be disappointed.” Rick’s Café Magazine

“Celia’s music calls women to their glory and men to their hearts.”
Marianne Williamson, Author “A Return to Love”

“Celia is an ambrosia of vitality flowing from sweet to sass with the utmost of grace.” Gemma, “A Million Voice Choir”

For more information about Celia, visit her Web site: www.celiaonline.com

VENUE INFO: The Bear's Lair is a Super Sweet intimate performance venue at a private home in North Austin. All shows are done on a suggested donation basis, and all proceeds go directly to the artists themselves!

Proprietors Stevie Bear and Amy Mashberg have been hosting local and traveling musicians from all over the world for over 20 years now, as a labor of love, and a way of giving back to a community that gives so much to so many. The outdoor space at The Bears Lair is an amazing and magical space to experience, and can hold up to 75 comfortably, with some space for spill overs or standing room only. Soft lighting outlines the towering oaks overhanging two stages, while fans supplement the seasonal breezes and a natural mosquito misting system helps keep the ample decks and patios comfy for our attendees and artists.

Fair weather or foul, The Bears Lair has it covered, as we also have room indoors for up to 25 attendees, should the need arise, depending on the size of the performing artist/group. Bathroom amenities are available of course, as are some chairs, and a small selection of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, all at no additional charge. We encourage attendees to bring along collapsible chairs, blankets, coolers and snacks, and ask that everyone drink responsibly and treat our home as you would your own, picking up after yourself and placing any disposables or recyclables in the appropriate provided containers.

Many shows are family friendly, but some shows are better suited to an adult audience, so best to check with the venue before bringing children along, and you can do so @ 512-997-9250. Also, while we do what we can to make The Bears Lair accessible to all, there are a few steps to navigate, both indoor and outside, so if you have any special needs or mobility issues, again, best to call in advance to check on feasibility for your particular situation.

Most artists bring along some kind of merchandise; CD's, T-shirts, a tip jar, etc. and the performing artists generally circulate through the attendees while on break, chatting with attendees and signing merchandise in this fabulous intimate setting, where you will have the opportunity to connect with the artist in ways that you may never have had before! So - come comfortable, come prepared (cash appreciated, though some artists do take cards), and enjoy your experience at The Bears Lair by topping it off with a signed memento from the artist you saw at The Bears Lair, and remember - All Proceeds Go To The Artist!!

Last, but not least - it's all about the experience! We want our artists and attendees to have the best entertainment experience we can provide. For most shows, doors are at 7pm, and shows start at 7:30pm and are over by 11pm. Times for each show will be posted with the show on The Bears Lair FaceBook page. Thank you for considering The Bears Lair as an entertainment choice, and Thank You for supporting Live Music and the people who make it!
